- How many Leopard Snuglis were given as Christmas gifts this year?
- I always want to know who goes to the "As Seen On Television" Stores in the Mall...this year I went to one and bought an Ove Glove for our polyanna...I was actually disappointed at the response...I thought it was a FABULOUS gift!
- What is better than getting a Christmas letter where a woman friend calls her relationship with her husband, "loving, faithful and constant..."
- How many people have the television on while opening Christmas presents? I saw it on a Christmas news show...people opening their gifts with the TV on in the background and that made me wonder...I actually think ours was on the news too...was yours? Why, I wonder...
- Did you have too many cookies, not enough, or the right amount?
- How many people bought their cats and dogs stockings and presents?
- Dick Clark...positive or negative?
- Do you clean up and put away Christmas on New Year's Day?
- Did you get to go to a fancy New Year's Eve party with hats and blowers and stuff? I love those parties but i don't know anyone else who does so I never get to go to one...instead we went to the movies...which was also kind of fun!
- I always miss my mother and father on New Year's eve and New Year's day...we never had any traditions but a few memorable times together...they were always happy that night and day...I guess that is why I think of them.
- My husband and I used to do a year in review and laugh about our memories...we don't really do it anymore...what does that mean do you think?
- I like to think about all of the people in my life that I never get to see anymore...I like to remember fun times and meaningful moments that I had with them...and I always plan to contact them...why don't I ...I wonder...
- Will you say two thousand ten or Twenty ten...hmmmm...I wonder what I will say...

Watching Dick Clark on New Year's Eve made me very sad. I really could not understand him and I made a real effort. Someone should have had the good sense to tell him he can't do New Year's Eve anymore. I would rather remember him the way he used to be. (OK, I'm burying my head in the sand!) God knows he's not doing it for the money. Although we all agreed that, even with the stroke, he looks younger than Jim Gardner. Happy twenty ten.
I think my comment is going to be about Dick Clark also. My sister in law and I were talking about him. I said we wouldn't put my brother, Jack on tv after his stroke.Dick shouldn't have been on either. That is what it reminded me of. I think I am going to say 2 thousamd ten
1) I bought Aunt Marie a snuggie this year. Leopard. And then days later, someone bought Aunt Marie's mother my Aunt Betty's adorable dog a snuggie - leopard. Picture on Facebook. Hilarious.
2) Love as seen on tv stores - they make me feel like I got a special opportunity - like "here it is! no need to order it on tv!"
3)I used to hear quotes like that and roll my eyes and curl my lip...now I know how that feels and so look forward to writing that letter myself one day
4) no tv with presents - never had it on growing up - never dawned on me to turn it on - glad about that
5) entirely too many cookies which is exactly the right amount
6)I gave my dog up for "adoption" NO I did not abandon him KT - he's extremely happy with his Memom and cousins - so no stockings for them
7)Dick Clark...I cringed a little...but positive - there's HOPE all over that situation
8)cleaned up that weekend of New Years...I'm not ready the very next day but the few days that follow I get crackin'
9)I stayed home for new years as I have for many many years and I am just as happy...soon the kids will be staying up with me
Happy 2010 to you and everyone who reads this. I am very very happy for many many reasons. I wish happiness and success for everyone this coming year. Love Rita
